(GREENWOOD, MS)...Frank G. Arcori, 49, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006. He was born Sept. 5, 1957, in Detroit. Mr. Arcori attended St. Juliana grade school and later Bishop Gallagher High School. He loved to play basketball and was even known to show his school spirit by leading the fans in a cheer or two. He also attended Wayne State University for three years.
He began his career with a small sandwich company called Little A's that he ran out of the back of the family store. He married his wife, Lamia Seman, on Sept. 7, 1980, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Oak Park. Relatives said he was totally devoted to his children, never missing one of their events, in particular their sporting events. He was also very active in the parish life at St. Fabian Catholic Church.
He and one of his brothers bought their parents' grocery store in 1980. In 1983, he opened the first of his Vegas Food Centers. Those were followed in 1994 by Save-A-Lot grocery store. Later he owned and operated a Pet Supplies Plus. He also delved into Walgreen real estate and even into hotel development. Ghattas Khoury is a professor of General and Vascular Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center[1] and a Lebanese politician.[2] He is the former Minister of Culture in Lebanon (2016 - 2019).
He is also a former member of the Lebanese parliament (2000 - 2005) and former president of the Lebanese Order of Physicians (1998 - 2001)[3].
