    Trivedi, Ramendrasundar () essayist, educationist and scientist, was born on 20 August in the village of Teya in Murshidabad, west bengal, the son of Govindasundar Trivedi. Ramendrasundar Trivedi passed the entrance examination from Kandi English School in , and was placed first. He obtained the second place in FA from Presidency College in , and stood first class first in both BA Honours in Physics and Chemistry, , and MA, Physics, in He was awarded the premchand roychand studentship in Trivedi joined Ripon College as a Professor of Science in , was appointed the Principal of that college in , a position that he held until his death.

    He began his literary career with articles published in the magazines sadhana, Nabajiban and bharati. He took the main initiative in establishing vangiya sahitya parishad (), and was elected president in He edited the journal of the Parisad, Babgiya Sahitya Parisad Patrika, for two terms, from , and again from

    Trivedi had extensive knowledge of linguistics, eastern and western philosophy, science, the Vedas, folklore, etc. However, he had the ability to articulate complicated theories of science and philosophy a very lucid language.     It says that Nimai Sri Chaitannya Deb once came to district Hooghly for the pilgrimage of Tarakeswar. So he bathed in river Ganga on the bathing ghat of Baidyabati. Then had started his journey to Tarakeswar on foot. It took about 12 hours to reach Tarakeswar. Later, the bathing ghat was named on him and now known to all as Nimai Tirtha Ghat. So, the ghat is about year's old. Kabikankan Mukundaram mentioned this ghat in his mangal kabya, about years ago. Raja Harishchandra of Seoraphuly constructed Nistarini Mandir and Bhadrakali Mandir in the year beside NimaiTirtha Ghat. then, lakhs of pilgrims take bath on river Ganga from this ghat and take holy water, visit Ma Nistarini and Debi Bhadrakali near, then use to go for Tarakeswar on foot to pour that Gangajal on the shiblinga of Baba Taraknath.
