    Amol Palekar: Born on 24th November 1944, Amol Palekar is an actor, director, producer of cinema, plays and television series in Hindi and Marathi. His most successful Hindi films include Gol Maal, Chitchor, Rajnigandha, Gharaonda, Rang Birangi and Chhoti Si Baat. His iconic plays include Chup! Court Shaant Hai!, Pagla Ghoda, Hayvadana, Suno Janmejay, Julus and Gochi. He has directed award-winning, internationally acclaimed movies like Kairee, Ankahee, Bangarwadi, Daayra and Paheli, which was selected as India's official entry to the Oscar Award in 2006. He also directed television serials like Kachchi Dhoop, Mrignayani and Krishnkali. In 2000, Palekar decided to return to painting.

    Rang Birangi (colorful) is a 1983 Hindi film, based on a story by the Hindi writer Kamleshwar, and directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.[1] This comedy classic is most remembered for the Utpal Dutt's role of ACP Dhurandhar Bhatawdekar, which won him the Filmfare Best Comedian Award for the year.[2]

    Synopsis

    Ajay Sharma is a very successful entrepreneur who has now transformed into a workaholic and is seen ignoring his wife of seven years, Nirmala. Enter Ravi Kapoor, a friend of Ajay notices Nirmala's loneliness and decides to fix things by rekindling the spark in their life. Thus starts a hilarious comedy involving Ajay's secretary, Anita and her boyfriend, Jeet and a re-enactment of Pati, Patni aur Woh.[3]
